Description

"Sing my song and become nothing"

From the fanfic Background Pony. This is very much my mental image and my own interpretation of the unsung realm, it might be (and probably is) different to what the author intended.

If you haven't read Background Pony then you have probably at least heard of it. It's written by Short Skirts And Explosions, I highly recommend it: [link]

I used a very different method here then what I'm used to. Instead of defining the shapes and then painting onto that, I just painted straight onto the sketch and defined the edges over time. It's something I need to get used to, I definitely made some mistakes during this. Ah well, all part of learning.

I saw the thumbnail and clicked, I'm glad I did. This is a wonderful piece.

Vision- I'm not really sure what vision actually is, but I would say it opens up into the fanfic nicely. Very well done.

Originality- The fact that she's standing on two legs and wearing a human hoodie is amazing. It shows how much she wants to be human, without putting too much emphasis on it. Too much would be wearing a skirt or pants, gloves, or even a hat. (Unless it's a silly hat. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/let…" width="15" height="15" alt=":P" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="395" title=":P (Lick)"/>)

Technique- It's lifelike, and the colors flow into one another, this is something I truly must compliment, seeing how I use colors in my drawings and like them to melt into each other. I liked the fact that you used the greenish-blue, blue, and a light purple along with the green, these colors fit the scene well.

Impact- The thumbnail showed me a sample of good art, I got a stunning, mind-blowing, priceless picture. Very well done!
